The story follows Sofia, a brilliant marine scientist specializing in underwater robotics, and her team as they investigate the disaster. She discovers that the collapse is just the beginning—an uncontrollable geological event is unfolding, threatening to destroy the entire oil drilling infrastructure in the North Sea.
As Sofia and her colleagues work against time to stop the disaster, she becomes personally involved when her partner, Stian, an offshore engineer, gets trapped on a doomed oil platform.
With government officials reluctant to act quickly and a full-scale evacuation seeming impossible, Sofia risks everything to rescue Stian before the entire sea floor collapses, triggering an unprecedented environmental disaster.
